PENENTUAN PROGRAM STUDI DI KAMPUS INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI DEL OLEH SISWA SMA/SMK DENGAN PENERAPAN METODE AHP (ANALYTICAL HIERARCHY PROCESS)
Abstract
This research aims to assist high school students in making decisions about study program selection at a college using measured and systematic considerations. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method is employed to determine the priority of criteria and alternatives by incorporating respondent preferences in a rating scale. Respondents include high school students and their parents. AHP enables students to consider various criteria hierarchically to choose a study program that aligns with their preferences and needs. The study focuses on a private college, XYZ, and evaluates selection criteria such as interest, accreditation, facilities, cost, job prospects, and capacity. Eight study programs offered by XYZ college are considered as alternatives. The study uses geometric means to calculate the weighting of criteria and AHP to determine overall priorities and preferences. Results indicate that the Bachelor of Applied Technology in Software Engineering program has the highest priority level with a weight of 0.17, making it the most suitable according to the preferences of prospective students and their parents. These findings can guide high school and vocational school students in making systematic and well-informed study program selection decisions at a college.
